Don't miss this evening of suspense at Toronto's Most Secretive Estate.
UNIVERSE OF ÁLI presents CHEZ HITCHCOCK, a second annual halloween charity event benefiting Animal Justice, Canada's only animal law advocacy organization that works to pass animal protection legislation, push for the prosecution of animal abusers, and fight for animals in court. The evening will include fabulous vegan food, a silent auction, live music, performers reminiscent of the mind of Hitchcock, prizes, gift bags, a cash bar and more.
Director Alfred Hitchcock was the master of horror classics. Guests are invited to wear costumes inspired by Hitchcock's most iconic characters and films for a chance to win the PRIZE for ‘BEST COSTUME’.
The evening will also feature Guest Speaker, Camille Labchuk, who is a Canadian animal rights lawyer and Executive Director of Animal Justice. As an advocate, Camille’s work includes documenting the commercial seal kill on Canada’s East Coast, exposing cruelty in farming, and campaigns against trophy hunting, circuses, zoos, aquariums, shark finning, puppy mills, and more. Camille is a frequent lecturer on animal law, a regular contributor to publications like the Globe and Mail and Huffington Post, and her work has been featured in countless media stories.

Come party inside of a piece of history! This Halloween event will be held at the Armour Heights Officers Mess, Toronto's most secretive estate. The historic building on the property was built in 1914 as the home of Colonel F.B. Robins. It was designed by the architectural firm of George and Moorhouse. It is noteworthy as an outstanding example of residential architecture in a Tudor Revival manner.
These vintage photos of the estate are from the Armour Heights Officers Mess archives:
