This cheeze sauce is perfect served over crepes, pancakes, or fresh fruit with granola. This recipe is simple to make and customizable too. You can also use this sauce to ice cakes by creating a thicker consistency using less milk. Try adding in different ingredients to flavour the Cheeze. Cinnamon, vanilla and ground cardamom are a few flavours that would be delicious in this recipe. Feel free to share any flavours that you try out, or would like to try in the comments below!
Wood and Water Foods is one of my favourite local companies creating handmade, raw, organic and vegan Tree Nut Cheezes and Cheezecakes. I had the opportunity to interview one of the creators of Wood and Water, and my friend, Jillian Leo about her company, her delicious raw vegan nut cheezes and her personal food philosophy. Jillian's passion for creating healthy, delicious, cruelty-free dairy alternatives truly shines through in all of the products she creates. You can find the full interview here.
You will need:
1 Original Tree Nut Cheeze (room temperature)
1 tablespoon fresh orange juice
1/2 teaspoon orange zest
1/4 cup almond or coconut milk (unsweetened)
2 tablespoon maple syrup
Add all of the ingredients to a mixing bowl, whisk until everything is combined, add more milk if too thick.
